- General Questions
- Is your doctor board certified? Yes, by the National Board of
Physicians and Surgeons and also by the American Board of Pediatrics.
- What if my child gets sick after hours? We have 24 hours/day coverage (including
holidays). If you call the office after hours, you will get a recording that gives instructions on how to reach the
pediatrician on call. During office hours, if not a life-threatening emergency, always call the office first.
For life-threatening emergencies, please call 911. If seen in the ER, we recommend that you come to the office
the next day we are open. If Emergency room care is necessary, we recommend Southeastern hospital in Lumberton or New
Hanover in Wilmington.
- What insurances do you take? We
take just about every insurance including medicaid, Champus/Tricare, Health choice, Cigna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield and
- What ages do you see? We see children
from birth until age 22 years old. If they are in their final year of college, we will continue to see them even at
age 22 until they finish the school year.
- Do you do circumcision on your newborns? Yes.
Although we do not encourage circumcisions, it is a service we provide. However most insurances do not pay (since
it is a cosmetic surgery). We will perform circumcisions on an outpatient basis after hospital discharge
until 2 months of age. You must make the appointment for a time when your infant is younger than 2 months old.
Circumcisions are $275 cash (no check nor credit card). The average cost of circumcisions in NC is about $2000.
This visit should be separate from any well check or sick visit.
does the hospital care for your patients? We
admit our patients to the pediatric hospitalists at Southeastern Hospital in Lumberton.

(no well checks nor chronic illness follow up such as ADHD etc) and run from 9 am until noon. However, our office hours
